Hello, my name is Brian Starley aka "Bergatron". I'm a freelance audio engineer and professional listener based out of Los Angeles, California.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2005, I've been slowly building this dream. It took me until 2013 to make engineering my full time job and it wasn't until 2026 that I'd finally build the studio I'd always imagined working in. So here we are, over 20 years later, at the start.
Music is magic. You either believe in it, or you don't. Music isn't a game you can win or lose. It can't be possessed. It draws from the past, present, future and beyond. Its signal requires a vessel for transmission into the physical world. However, the physical interpretation is always just a manipulated replica of the original transmission.
For the last 2 decades I have been building my antennae in hopes of receiving and transmitting that pure signal with anyone and everyone who wants to join me. As technology advances the magic of music only becomes more illusive and my drive to pay closer attention keeps growing.
